Our Mission

Our mission is to provide world-class training, continuing education and professional certification that supports the development of marine auditors, surveyors and industry personnel across the towing vessel community. Our members work together to ensure towing vessel operators across the nation receive a consistently high level of thorough, professional regulatory compliance services. As a Coast Guard-approved Third-Party Organization, TVIB leads from within the industry to champion its independence, uphold safety and compliance, and empower the towing industry to own responsibility for its future.
