DESCRIPTION:Register \n  \nCourse Description: \nOur Surveyor of Inspected Towing Vessels Course provides surveyors with the knowledge and skills required to perform TVIB TPO Subchapter M surveys of towing vessels. Upon successful completion of the course\, remittance of a TVIB application and subsequent acceptance by the TVIB Accreditation Subcommittee\, TVIB will submit the applicant to the USCG for approval as qualified to perform work on behalf of TVIB in its role as a TPO. \n*Note: In addition\, students who are NOT Certified NDT technicians will be required to successfully complete an online course covering correct interpretation of Ultrasonic Thickness Testing Report prior to certification as a TVIB Certified Surveyor of Inspected vessels. \n• Length: Five days (40 hours)\n• Course binder and materials provided\n• Maximum class size: 20\, with instructors present throughout \nWho Should Attend:\nInternal Surveyors\nThis course is designed for internal surveyors that want training to be in compliance with the training requirements for Internal Surveyors as specified in section 137.315 – Internal Survey Programs\, and are looking to become proficient at conducting Subchapter M compliant internal surveys under the oversight of a Third Party Organization “TPO.” \nThird Party Surveyors\nThis course is also for those accredited surveyors that do not currently hold the “Hull and Machinery” NAMS endorsement or SAMS “Workboat” credential\, who wish to become a TVIB Certified Surveyor of Inspected Towing Vessels\, or desire refresher training prior to taking the TVIB exam for TVIB Certified Surveyors of Inspected Vessels\, which is required for all TVIB Certified Surveyors. \n  \nCourse Fees:\n• Non-Members: $1\,795\n• Members: $1\,345*\nCourse fee includes course materials and lunch each day.
