DESCRIPTION:Course Description: \nThe Subchapter M Auditor Certification course (2 day VIRTUAL course) teaches external (third-party) auditors how to audit a company’s TSMS\, with an emphasis on those companies using the American Waterways Operators’ Responsible Carrier Program as the framework for their TSMS. Students who successfully complete this course will have an in-depth understanding of auditing both safety management systems and the vessels that operate under those systems and what compliance means under Subchapter M. This is the appropriate course for those individuals seeking certification to become an approved TPO Auditor\, as well as an RCP Lead Auditor/Vessel Auditor. DESCRIPTION:Course Summary: \nThe Drydock/Internal Structural Examination Certification course (3 day In-Person course) is open to TVIB members and non-members alike. The course provides surveyors who plan to conduct Subchapter M drydock and internal structural examinations of inspected towing vessels with the tools\, skills and knowledge to complete these examinations\, and provides a path toward an industry-recognized credential. \nCourse Fee: \nNon-Members:   $1495 \nTVIB Members:  $1120* \n*TVIB members & USCG receive a 25% discount when registering for the course.  Members can register through the Member Portal under the “Current Events” dropdown menu \nDocumentation: \nPractical exercises\, quizzes\, a final exam and active participation in class are required to earn your certificate. \nCancellation Policy: \nCancellations must be submitted one week (7 days) prior to the first day of the course.  Please note that a cancellation fee of $150 will be charged.  No refund will be issued for non-attendance without notification or for early withdrawal from a class.  Please send cancellation notifications to: info@thetvib.org \nADA Requests: \nPlease alert us of any ADA needs that you may have upon registration so that proper arrangements can be made to accommodate you.  Send your request to: info@thetvib.org \nRegister Here
