SUMMARY:COVID-19 Virtual Activities\, Extensions and Related Information Webinar
DESCRIPTION:COVID-19 Virtual Activities\, Extensions and Related Information \nPlease join us for a webinar on Apr 02\, 2020 at 10:00 AM CDT. \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER NOW! \nThe Coast Guard’s recently issued MSIB 09-20 allows for extensions of audit and survey activities\, as well as the use of remote inspection techniques to verify vessel compliance.  \nHow do you as an operator determine which activities you should request extensions for\, versus trying to schedule an audit or survey remotely? Which compliance dates do you need to focus on during the next 60 days? What are some of the tools available to you to conduct audits virtually?  \nDuring this webinar\, TVIB staff will help you understand the process for requesting an extension of an audit or survey\, provide direction on our expectations for acceptable ways to conduct annual surveys and audits using remote inspection techniques\, and answer your questions about these new options. \nWe will be recording the webinar and sharing it on our website for those who are unable to participate. After registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

SUMMARY:Subchapter M Auditor Certification Course
DESCRIPTION:Subchapter M requires auditors to successfully complete a training course for auditing a Towing Safety Management System (TSMS). This three-day course teaches external (third-party) auditors how to audit a company’s TSMS\, with an emphasis on those companies using the American Waterways Operators’ Responsible Carrier Program as the framework for their TSMS. Students who successfully complete this course will have an in-depth understanding of auditing both safety management systems and the vessels that operate under those systems and what compliance means under Subchapter M. This is the appropriate course for those individuals seeking certification to become an approved TPO Auditor\, as well as an RCP Lead Auditor/Vessel Auditor. This course is also ideal for company personnel who want to better understand the expectations of their external auditor. This course meets the requirements of 46 CFR 139.130 (b)(4) for those seeking to perform external audits under a TPO. \nTVIB has contracted with the Holiday Inn Express & Suites\, 6175 E.
